First quarter Animation and Game Design student, Bryan White, did a great job on his Short Narrative assignment. His story, "What a Strange Day," focused on two brothers, Aaron and Reggie. Their usual day takes an unusual turn as they head into their local coffee shop. As two people burst through the door, running for their lives, the brothers realize something is wrong. Bryan's story really started out strong. His one page narrative reminded me of the intro to a Stephen King novel. The fact that he did not reveal the source of the confusion and calamity until half way through the story left me hanging on the edge of my seat. The reveal was just as strong and made for some tense moments. The next step will be to take the narrative over to storyboard. With this much action, Bryan has a lot to work with.
