Two excellent documentaries have arrived at the LAC library. First is the wonderful Beautiful Losers, which Amazon describes as an "endearing film about a tight-knit group of artistic friends borne loosely out of a legendary, now-defunct New York gallery called Alleged, heightens one's awareness of how cultural scenes can be forged and maintained through long-term documentation." And the absolute must see COSMOS: A Spacetime Odyssey. If you've ever wondered how pretty much everything started and where it's going, this documentary series attempts, and often succeeds, to answer these and many other seemingly unanswerable questions.
