Living Arts students amazed at museum

First quarter students in Lena Corter's AD101 classes were able to travel to the North Carolina Museum of Art last week. Many students were surprised at the extent of the collection. They were required to select a favorite contemporary piece.  A couple of students, Jeremy Allred and Daniel Garvey, picked a large black and orange gesture painting by Robert Motherwell.  Several others liked the golden sculpture by Michael Richards entitled "The Tar Baby vs St. Sebastian".  This is just another example of Living Arts students broadening their horizons beyond campus.  Thanks to Lena Corter for organizing these trips!
