Instructor Ben Parks reports that Living Arts College student Darrell "Bryant" Sapp has pulled it off again in GM 403, Game Design Strategies, with his final rendition (pictured, left) of fellow student Dawoda Kah. Bryant's final texture version of his character model was done very well. The goal of getting a model to resemble a real person is incredibly difficult, but is a big part of the video game industry these days. Bryant did the initial model in 3DS Max and applied a diffuse (color) map, specular map and normal map (from Mudbox) for adding bump. Bryant did an excellent job. Congratulations, Bryant Sapp! |
