Instructor Ben Parks reports that Digital Film student Johnson Best (pictured, left) did a great job on his first assignment, the Dynamic Promo piece, for DF120 Broadcast Design I. The students were to design a promotional poster within Photoshop or Illustrator for an event. They then created a storyboard to plan out the action of those elements animated across the screen. And, finally, they took those elements into After Effects and animated the individual pieces, settling in to their final layout for the last five seconds. Johnson's piece (pictured, right) was for a music festival. The design was interesting, and he was creative with animating the pieces to create a cohesive final image. Nicely done, Johnson!
