Instructor Mark Smith's Promotions and Industry relations class has been working with Backyard Barbeque of Durham to develop marketing and promotions for their family-run food business. The Simmons family of Backyard Barbeque had asked the Living Arts students to develop a new logo; so, Mark Smith coordinated a cash prize contest for the best logo. Breton Daymude (pictured, left, presenting to the Simmons family) won the $100 cash prize. The Simmons family also awarded his team (Victoria Kinlaw and Sarah Garnett) an additional $20 each for the best marketing promotion concepts. Congratulations to these Living Arts students! |
